This blog is being built as a test but already I like the theme quite well. I have been building web sites and blogs for about 4 1/2 years and really like the wordpress blogs.
My name is Bob Pearcy and after retiring from truck driving I started work on the internet. I can’t say it is very profitable but has been real interesting and my knowledge of html and php as well as many other facets of the web have become second nature to me.
I believe that anyone can do this if you will apply yourself to it. I have not taken any college courses or other training in web design or programing. It has been self study and with the web you can find anything you want or need.
I began my work with computers in the late 70′s with a Digital Group computer, it had a Z80 processor and 8K of ram. That was long before IBM made the PC. I then in a year or so went to a machine running CPM and did a lot of work with it until I got a PC and started using dBase II, I built my book keeping system for my auto shop using dBase II and it worked very well. I learned dBase II by study of the manual and never had a class in it. The only computer class I ever took was in Basic and that really slowed me down when I went to dBase II because it was totally different.
